It’s been a year since I started this blog. I am proud of what I have been able to achieve, even if they are modest achievements by anyone’s standard. The naive neophyte that started this journey one year ago, is still a beginner, but is maybe a little less naive.
There were many lessons learned throughout the year. I was humbled many times by the caliber of the posts done by other bloggers. I laughed and I cried with my fellow bloggers. Confidences, achievements and losses were shared.
The biggest thing I learned was that I love, absolutely love writing. Staying true to my naive, neophyte self I have decided to try my hand at writing a novel, or novella. There is a story in me. It’s in my mind and in my heart. It lives. It has taken over my life. When not physically writing at my laptop, I am writing in my head.
That my friends is why I have not posted anything for about a month. It is why I may not post anything for several more months. I read recently that Stephen King writes a 1st draft in 3 months. I also read that Leonard Cohen is so particular in finding the perfect words, he has taken 10 years to write a song. I hope my journey is closer to 3 months, but who knows.
I want to thank everyone that has read my posts, commented or liked them.
I’ll catch up to in a few months.
